Could It Be?

New news on "What IS Victoria"....

The pet shop SAID, she was part Blue Tick and part Aussie.

This is an Aussie pup.

I don't have a picture of a Blue Tick Hound, but they look like Pointers.

I DO have a picture of THIS:

How much does this look like Victoria?

On a scale of 1-10, I think it's a 9, cause you have to add in the Aussie, which we are certain she is half.

And by the way, the picture of the two pups running -- those are Catahoula Leopard Dogs. The state dog of Louisiana. We think maybe someone rescued a Catahoula dog after Hurricane Katrina, and not knowing, thought it was a Blue-Tick hound. After all, have you heard of a Catahoula Leopard Dog? Not very many dog books have this breed listed.

And if our hunch is correct that she is Aussie and Catahoula, then we have come up with her breed:

She is a Australian Catahoula Shepherd Leopard Dog.

What do you think?

So Victoria's relatives are from bayou country (Louisiana)? No wonder she likes the water. I wonder if you play her some New Orleans jazz music if she'll start barking?

She does look a lot like that breed. Does she have any of the breeds tempermant traits? Are they known to have the two color eyes?
