PURRRRFECT!

I know I said the next time I posted I would talk about the DROP, but I couldn't resist this post.

This is Peridot. She is my brother Sam's cat.
Notice anything about her belly?

It's filthy! Something HAS to be done about this.

But, as all people know, cats hate baths.

This will be interesting.

It's a team effort.

She is just like any ordinary cat - she HATES this!

I'm loving it though!

The Martha Stewart in me MUST make her clean and fluffy.

All over. Doesn't that feel so much better, Peridot?

Mom's hand suffered some abuse though...

See? All clean....

All fluffy and clean. The Martha Stewart in me is very satisfied!

The Great Adventure

You know Esther my cat, right?

Well up to this time she has been an indoor cat. I love her very much and I just can’t bare the thought of her being gone for hours at a time.

But at the urging of my family & friends I have started letting her out at different times during the day. I put a sweater on her to keep her warm. I borrowed it off a stuffed bear that I have.

She seems to like it. So far I have only let her go out on a leash.

But soon when I trust her she will be free to go where ever she wants with no leashes attached… as long as she’s back by dark!

She is very tired after her big outdoor adventure. Sh!!!! We better let her sleep. She has to get up and take guard duty soon.

Come back soon and meet the D.R.O.P

Love,
Sophia

Ruby

Hi this is my cat Ruby

This is one of my all time favorite cats. She will be 3 this August but she is still my little baby

If you want to know how it all started look at my mom's blog

Here is what her day-to-day life is like:

1. Every night she and Esther take turns looking after me.

2. In between she sleeps.

3. Then she eats.

4. Then she sleeps.

5. Then she drinks some water (when I remember to fill her bowl)

6. Then she sleeps.

7. She wakes me up.

8. She follows me when I go to feed the other animals hoping I'll feed her some wet food. (most of the time I do)

9. While I do school, she curls up on my bed and catches up on her beauty sleep.

10. She also makes sure her little sister (Esther) is good.

11. She follows me around until I go to bed.

12. Then she jumps onto my loft bed, curls up on the shelf above it, ready for her shift of guard cat.

The next day, she repeats it all with maybe an extra nap or two for beauty purposes only.

Love,
Sophia
P.S. Come back next time and learn about the Great Advenutre!

Esther

Meet Esther.

She is my ten month old kitten. She has a story. Would you like to hear it?

It all started one day when we went to the pet shop to get our dog some treats. We walked down an aisle and saw this little kitten sticking her paw through the cage. She was so cute. I could hold her in one hand. We just couldn't resist. So, we decided to buy her.

But, they wouldn't let us have her just yet. We had to submit an application to the humane society. Then they would call us back the next day to tell us if we got her.

The next day we came home and on the answering machine was a message saying we got the cat. So we went and got her. We thought of many different names, but finally we decided to keep the name that they gave her at the pet shop, which was Esther.

She has a personality of royalty. And we knew from the beginning that she would be a spoiled little kitten, and she still is to this day.

Come back soon and hear about the dog that started it all....

Love,
Sophia
