Uh-Oh

You know those days when nothing seems to go right?
THIS is one of those days.
For the dog, at least.

She was playing with a role of duct tape when Daddy Sam put it around her head for a crown. She tilted her head back and this happened.

The problem is she can get it on, but she can't get it off (don't ask me why).

So...

We had to cut the duct tape, obviously. But only me, my two brothers and my grandma (who wanted to call 911, but we said "no") were at home. Obviously we needed some help. We called our next door neighbor and our sister to come help us save Victoria.

We took an exato knife, cut patiently, or rather my sister A2 did, until all the tape was off. It took almost a half an hour. Which was kind of hard because puppies won't stay still that long, and plus she hadn't had her breakfast yet.

We finally got down to the cardboard. Then we had to take scissors and cut through that. If we would have missed, the puppy's neck would have been in danger. But, we didn't.

After a very traumatic day all she wanted to do was snuggle with her mommy and go to sleep. She had no complaints. But obviously by now she is back up and running and never been better, especially without that huge thing of duck-tape around her neck.

Traumatic for everyone. After all we've only had her for a week. I hope this isn't an example of life with Victoria. We've already learned she likes to jump into the fish pond.

Ahhh...sounds like you all handled it in the end. And good call on not calling 911!

Good thing you have a big sister who is experienced with animals (and children). I guess dogs weren't supposed to wear crowns.
